This May, I’d like to invite you to pay more attention to rebuilding the foundation of your body. For example, for someone like me, I’ve lacked core strength, but I’ve always had great flexibility. It’s something I’ve acknowledged for years, sort of did something about it, but ended up putting it off. Lacking core strength is tough to balance the body and also makes it easy to be in bad posture.

So for this month’s numbers, we’re looking at the number 5, 4 and 9.

9 when we add both together.

Meaning we’re putting an end to procrastinating our body’s weaknesses and limitations. It’s THE month to focus and rebuild our health inside and out. Luckily, a lot of us are working from home these days so we already have the advantage of cooking our own healthy meals, doing stretches and exercises to improve our body’s strength, meaning, less excuses.

For me, it would be focusing on building core strength, and just to cover the internal system, I’ll be doing a cleanse to try and make things squeaky clean inside too. I love following Dr. Axe’s Leaky Gut Cleanse instead of juice detoxes, raw food diets, and the like (but that’s because my body doesn’t process cold foods well and I personally prefer to go sugar-free if I’m going to commit to a cleanse.)

Here are some examples of issues you might want to address:

External Physical Health:

  • Lacking core strength

  • Poor at balancing

  • Poor flexibility

  • Lower back pain

Internal Physical Health:

  • Weak immune system

  • Inflammation in the gut

  • Blockages in your endocrine system – creating stress, anger, frustration, high adrenaline,

  • Candida and Yeast Infections

  • Poor sleep quality or insomnia

  • Diabetes

  • Thyroid issues

  • Hormonal imbalances

  • Difficulty in getting pregnant

  • Osteoporosis or other joint issues

Ideas for remedies:

  • Do a 30-day body cleanse to jump-start your internal system

  • See a doctor, physiotherapist, chiropractor, bodyworker to address any physical pains or discomforts

  • Try traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. The combo of herbs and needles can do wonders for resetting internal health.

  • Get a few energy healing sessions if the issues seem beyond physical, to release any emotions tied to any of the issues listed above, meaning if aren’t any physical limitations but something is holding you back mentally, emotionally, or energetically (trauma for example, or prolonged suppressed expression.) It’s also possible that your brain is giving off the wrong message to your body to perform differently, mucking up the internal system and energy healing can correct that by addressing the faulty message to your body’s consciousness. Don’t forget everything begins with energy.

Generally, whether it be physio, bodywork, acupuncture, or energy healing, give it a few sessions to address one main issue.

So I invite you to spend time this month nurturing and rebuilding your body inside and out. From the inner core, and the outer core of your body.

Aside from this, I’d suggest exercising in nature and connect with sound in a meditative form to heighten your physical sensations. Since it’s quieter around the world these days, try out the following exercise. In a room with zero (or minimal) distractions:

  1. Play a song (any song, but the slower, meditative songs tend to be more interesting to try out, such as nature sounds, wind chimes, or gentle vocals.)

  2. Lay back in your bed, armchair, sofa.

  3. Close your eyes.

  4. Notice if your body responds to it today differently than it has before, and any emotions that come up. Jot it down in your notes.

  5. Repeat this a few more times over the month with the same song and see if your body’s response and emotions are consistent or different. From there, see if there are any next steps you want to take with what you’ve noticed.

Additionally, last month I had suggested that you start planning and strategizing on personal and/or professional levels. This would be a great month to start executing, however obviously weigh the circumstances in your own city and see if it would be smart to make any movements now, or it’s it better to wait given that so many countries are still on lockdown due to COVID-19. One of the key characteristics of the number “5” is knowing how to be business savvy and deciding when to put things in action.
