Natural Ways To Support Common Women’s Health Issues with Reiki and Intuitive Healing

As nurturing, dedicated, hardworking, loving, and resilient as many women are, many threats plague them to live an entire life. Women are often the ones who are responsible for taking care of the household and raising the children.

Many also have full-time jobs outside of their home, doubling the number of responsibilities. This can lead to a lot of stress and pressure.

You may have heard the standard reference to moms being superheroes. Extra tasks are more likely to be dumped on a Janet than a Greg at work. Women are naturally great at multi-tasking, wearing many hats simultaneously.

However, the one thing they tend to neglect is their health, and unfortunately, sometimes there’s a high price to pay. More and more women are combating chronic health issues such as:

1. Heart Disease

Many are surprised to learn that breast cancer is not the top health concern for women but is heart disease. It kills about 500,000 women in the United States each year, accounting for nearly a quarter of all female deaths.

2. Cancer

Cancer is the second most deadly concern to a woman’s health. Lung cancer takes the most lives each year, primarily due to smoking. Breast cancer takes second place as the cause of cancer death.


Breast cancer starts in the milk ducts and can eventually spread to other organs; and is the most devastating cancer affecting women everywhere. Ovarian and cervical cancer are other cancers affecting women. Many do not understand the distinctions between ovarian and cervical cancers.

  • Ovarian cancer roots in the fallopian tubes, whereas cervical cancer in the lower uterus.

  • Cervical cancer symptoms include discharge and pain during sexual intercourse.

  • Ovarian cancer has a wide range of symptoms, and the disease is challenging to diagnose.

  • Pap tests are being used to detect cervical cancer, but ovarian cancer cannot be seen through this method.

Fortunately, lifestyle changes can help prevent at least one-third of all cancers, so you can lower your risk by adopting better practices.

I’ve had the honor of working with several clients from ages 12 to their late 60s who have been on their cancer journey (and beat it completely!!)

From what they’ve shared, they feel that our Reiki sessions helped them significantly reduce their daily discomforts and cope better with chemotherapy and radiation’s side effects for those who chose that route. They’ve shared that they feel far calmer and more relaxed and that Reiki has helped speed up their recovery periods.

3. PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome)

PCOS is a hormonal disorder that affects women of reproductive age in which the ovaries produce an excess of androgens. These male sex hormones are ordinarily seen in trace amounts in women.

Ovulation is the release of a fully grown egg from an ovary. This occurs for male sperm to fertilize it. If the egg is not fertilized during your period, it is expelled out of the body.

A woman’s hormone output may be insufficient to allow her to ovulate in rare cases. The ovaries may produce a significant number of small cysts if ovulation fails.

The polycystic ovarian syndrome is characterized by many small cysts (fluid-filled sacs) in the ovaries. Some women with this condition, on the other hand, do not develop cysts, but others who do not have the disorder do.

I’m one of the many women who have had PCOS for years, and though this is a tricky condition to work with, I believe Reiki had helped me manage my condition far better than before when I was younger with PCOS and hadn’t applied Reiki on myself yet.

4. Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a condition in which tissue comparable to the uterus (womb) lining grows outside the uterus. It affects more than 11% of American women aged 15 to 44. It is most frequent in women in their 30s and 40s and may make it more difficult to conceive.

Several therapy options are available to assist you in controlling your symptoms and increase your chances of becoming pregnant, including Reiki.

5. Fibroids


Uterine fibroids are benign uterine growths that typically appear during pregnancy. These tumors can become quite large, resulting in severe stomach pain and irregular periods. They may create no symptoms at all in some cases.

Reiki is a popular and effective form of alternative treatment that is natural, safe, and non-invasive for women who’d like to try reducing the size of their fibroids and reducing the side effects of fibroids such as heavy periods before needing to consider invasive surgery.

6. Primary Ovarian Insufficiency (POI)

The term “primary ovarian insufficiency” (POI) refers to when a woman’s ovaries stop generally functioning before 40. Early or premature menopause is not the same as POI. Many women who suffer from POI may not have monthly menstrual cycles or intermittently.

Ovulation issues may make it difficult for women with POI to conceive. Furthermore, women with POI have a higher chance of developing specific health issues, such as osteoporosis, than women without POI.

7. Autoimmune Diseases

Autoimmune illness occurs when body cells that ordinarily remove dangers such as viruses assault healthy cells. Researchers are baffled as to why this disease disproportionately affects women as its frequency rises in the population.

8. Anxiety and Depression

Anxiety and depression are two mental concerns for women of any race and background. Natural hormonal variations can create anxiety and despair. Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a common ailment in women, but premenstrual dysmorphic disorder (PMDD) includes similar symptoms but is far more severe.

Mothers also undergo anxiety after giving birth. Postnatal depression is the more severe case in which women can feel extreme sadness, emotional swings, and exhaustion. Menopause can also be depressing. Care providers provide relief with prescription medicine; however, alternatively or as complementary to medication, Reiki could be a highly effective source of healing therapy for those with anxiety and depression.


Ways Women Can Take Better Care Of Their Health

Women need to better take care of their health to avoid burning out and not run into significant health problems. Here are some tips on how to do this:

  1. Make time for yourself every day. Me time is the time to make sure your cup is full. You can’t share from an empty cup. This can be as simple as taking a few minutes to read or take a bath.

  2. Find a hobby that you enjoy and make time for it. This can help you relax and de-stress.

  3. Get regular exercise. This will help you release tension and stay healthy.

  4. Eat healthy foods and avoid processed ones. This will help you maintain your energy levels.

  5. Make sure to get enough sleep. This is crucial for your overall health and well-being.

  6. Talk to someone if you are feeling overwhelmed or stressed out. This can be a friend, family member, or talk therapist.

  7. Seek professional help if you have difficulty managing your stress levels. This can be from a doctor, mental health provider, life coach, Reiki practitioner, or energy healer.

Reiki and Intuitive Healing sessions are incredibly effective in lowering stress levels and helping the body relax.
